About Us
The Antique Restorer began as a part-time pursuit driven by the passion and craftsmanship of owner Bill MacDougall. What started as a personal endeavor soon evolved into a dedicated business rooted in quality, attention to detail, and respect for timeless design.
In their spare time, Bill and his wife Leah travel throughout the eastern United States sourcing antique furniture pieces in need of expert restoration. Working from his shop, Bill carefully revitalizes each piece, preserving its character while restoring its function and beauty. In addition to antique restoration, The Antique Restorer creates one-of-a-kind custom farmhouse tables and finely crafted, hand-turned lathe pieces, including bowls and candle holders.
A proud veteran-owned small business, The Antique Restorer is based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Retail offerings are available exclusively at Booth #36 inside the Strasburg Emporium in Strasburg, Virginia.
